INHALT

Electrified powertrains are becoming increasingly popular in the global automotive industry. To remain competitive in this market, an optimization of an electric machine regarding costs, performance and NVH is an essential part of the developing phase. The connection between technical development and cost engineering is very important in order to integrate cost functions in the optimization and to eventually compare different parameters (e.g. materials) and their effects on costs and performance. The aim of this thesis is to strengthen the connection between technical development and early cost assessment in electric machines and to find out how important the link between cost and simulation engineering is.
