INHALT

Development of a generic maturity model template in context to the capability maturity model (CMMI) concept and the energy intensive industry

AUFGABENSTELLUNG

The master's thesis includes the elaboration of theoretical principles for dealing with the described topic. For this purpose, the investigation of the methods and analysis procedures with regard to applied maturity models (i.e. CMMI) and with regard to the three organisational levels (Normative, Strategic and Operative) and its five (5) managerial functions (Planning, Organisation, Personal, Information, Control) influencing factors, are to be collected and described. In doing so, the essential terms are to be defined and delimited.
Furthermore, a suitable generic model for analyzing these levels of maturity is to be developed, taking into account the underlying ISO standards, and tested in terms of implementation and applicability. The results obtained are to be interpreted and should serve to create an actual-target comparison for better addressing the challenges and closing the gaps with regard to company-wide capabilities in energy management, or the further development of these.
